Requirements
Browser
Section titled “Browser”Desktop Chrome is the current development target. Capture sources, system audio, and export codecs depend on your browser, operating system, and hardware. Other browsers and broader device combinations require their own verification.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Allow screen, camera, or microphone access when you choose to record them. On macOS, the browser may also need Screen Recording permission in System Settings. A canceled picker does not start a recording.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Keep free disk space for local recordings and exports. Browser data can be cleared or evicted; download portable project backups for work you want to retain.
Accounts
Section titled “Accounts”Public sign-in and paid plans are being prepared. Connecting an account never uploads your recordings, publishes a video, or purchases a plan. Toads native purchases remain separate.
